Naps, sleep, and so much more…

I’ve been meaning to write about this for weeks, or perhaps even a
couple of months now… and today an email notification of the next
step in development prompted me to finally get on with it.

So, what is it?

pzizz

Ever find yourself part way through the day feeling a bit worn out? Or mired in “brain fog”? Ever have trouble shutting off the events of the day when it’s time to go to sleep?

pzizz is worth looking into as a way to help overcome these common experiences… and the potential for it to help with so much more is just waiting for the developers to put the solutions together.

So, what is pzizz?

Perhaps you’ve heard of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)? Or binaural beats? Perhaps you’ve heard of, or even tried, some of the CDs and tapes that are available to help you get to sleep, or to enter a light trance state, or to work sub- or semi-consciously on “issues” using hypnotherapy based recordings, and so on?

pzizz takes all this to a new level. Rather than being a prerecorded soundtrack, it is an application that allows you to create the soundtracks yourself. Each pzizz program is designed for a specific purpose, but you can adjust the length, voice volume, music volume, etc. — and you can export the resulting soundtrack for use on a digital music player like an iPod, or even to some mobile phones! Each soundtrack uses binaural beat technology to help get your brainwaves into a particular pattern, and uses vocal “instructions” designed using principles of NLP to help you acheive whatever the program is set for. One of the huge benefits of this over CDs is that you don’t have to listen to the same soundtrack time and time again - each time you
create a new soundtrack it’s a little bit different, even if you set it for the same length of time, and so on.

Currently, the two programs available for pzizz are “Energizer Nap” and “Sleep”. Each is just what it sounds like it would be. The “Energizer Nap” can be used during the day when you’re feeling tired, or maybe have a bit of “brain fog”. “Sleep” is designed to help you unwind at the end of the day and prepare for a good night’s sleep.

It seems to me the possibilities for this software are endless. I’d love to see pzizz programs for things like stopping procrastination, creative problem solving, etc. - and I know the folks at pzizz are looking into a variety of applications of this technology.

So, check it out for yourself. The software is now available for both Mac and Windows. Go to pzizz to learn more.

A sample pzizz session is available? in mp3 format from the pzizz website.
