Professional Experience

Associate Dissertation Director 6/2008–present

Duties included planning, development, and deployment, and maintenance of online dissertation department website through the Angel LMS, facilitating committee formation, research faculty review, maintenance of editorial staff and editing process, oversight of work study students, fielding of faculty questions and concerns, maintain budget, and interface with other adminstrative offices. The ADD is a faculty position, and along with the Dissertation Director has oversight of traking and servicing of all Ph.D. program dissertation students, dissertation chairpersons, research faculty, editors, and maintenance of the overall research process and procedures, including forms, handbooks, website, and instructional materials.

Conduct trainings for faculty (and for a time, students) who teach in the online
environment. Trainings include basic and advanced navigation of Angel LMS, course
creation, online learning methods and technologies, best practices in online education, use of agents and tokens, course management, student communications, and course design. Individual support and training also provided.
